Terms of use
Version 2026-10-draft
These terms apply when you use the Choon ID app or website. They’re between you and [COMPANY NAME] (company number [NUMBER], registered office [ADDRESS]). Artists who upload music also accept the artist agreement.
Using Choon ID
- You need to be [13/16] or over. Keep your sign-in details to yourself.
- Use the microphone feature only where you’re allowed to, and respect venues’ rules.
- Don’t misuse the service: no scraping, automated requests, attempts to identify anonymous artists by other means, reverse engineering, or anything unlawful.
Identifications
We work hard to get identifications right, and we’d rather say “not found yet” than guess. But matches can be wrong; tell us with “Wrong track?”. Links to Spotify, Apple Music, Beatport and Bandcamp go to those services, under their terms.
Anonymous tracks
Some artists keep unreleased tracks anonymous. You’ll see an ID code until they announce it; please don’t try to work out or publish who they are through Choon ID.
Rights complaints
If you believe something on Choon ID uses your rights without permission, report it here.
Changes, suspension and ending
We may change Choon ID or these terms; we’ll tell you about important changes. We may suspend accounts that break these terms. You can stop using Choon ID and delete your account at any time.
Liability
Choon ID is provided as it is, and while we’re in testing features may change or be unavailable. [LAWYER TO REVIEW: liability limits, consumer rights statement.] Nothing here limits liability that can’t be limited by law.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you can also bring claims in your local courts.
